2. Building life cycle

The life cycle of a building and the products that are imbedded in it provides a valuable framework for the analysis of the various environmental impacts, as well as for the identification of sources of improvement. The graph below presents the steps usually retained for analysis as well as the fluxes of different natures that they imply.
